Default Electric Laser 200 88" w/s

I don't know where to start NEED HELP. I am thinking about turning my Laser 200 17lbs (dry) 88" wingspan plane into electric. I dont know where to start. Can anyone help with this by giving me tips and websites to refer to. or even if you have some used equipment you might want to get rid of to help me with this adventure.

Thanks to All.

The place to start is with the Laser 200 weight.

You will want at least 100 watts per pound (100w/lb) for good aerobatic performance. This means that you power system must be capable of 100 x 17 or 1700watts.

You may want to follow my Edge 540 "Part 2" thread since the AXI 5330 and Actro 60 are in this power level range.

Hi,

I flew earlier my same size Laser 200 with ST3000 2-st (15 years ago..), so I would say Actro 60-175 comes very close same window

at 17lb you need 3kW to have fun, so the Actro would be an easy solution. 11 or 12s li-po. it´s not cheap to power this kind of planes, but they will rock!

1kW is 1 Kilowatts = 1000watts
