Default cmp giles 202 1.40

Here is a pic of my latest project. the arf was $169.00 from ak models and is nicely constructed. It is 72" span 970 sq inch wing area. 11.5 lbs auw rtf. power is an axi 5320/28 with a jeti 90, and 10s polyquest xp3700 pack(2 5s1p pcks in series)
2,140 watts on a 19x10e prop. I used bluebird high torque servos and a pull/pull for both rudder and elevator. It flies great(only one flight so far)

Very nice looking Giles-202. I just ordered this came plane. Can you tell me what size servo's you used? I talk to Alex and I am going to be putting a 42cc w/ei power planet is this plane. Alex said he was not sure what size servo's to used and I was hoping that Hitec 475's would work OK. They have 61oz of torque at 4.8 volts. I hope to use 4 of them on this plane ( 2-elevator, & 2 - ailerons) 1 high torque servo for the rudder and a standard servo for the throttle. What do you think?

I bit your electric Giles-202 flies real nice. Do you have any more pic's or video.

Here is a link to my home page if you would like to take a look see.

Thanks

Standard servos will be fine on the elevator and ailerons. I would use a very high torque metal gear servo for the rudder.
sory no video yet, but she is well behaved and easy to fly.

Thanks for the feed back. It is good news to here I won't have to go out and buy any more servo's. I have an all metal GWS rated at 100oz for the rudder and I'll use Hitec 475's for the ailerons and elevator. I will use a standard servo' Hitec 422 for the throttle.

Thanks

Jim , if you search on the arf forum there are a couple flyers with this plane and even some video. They are using light weight gas engines mvvs 2.6 ? I think the lighter the better esp on this plane.
These guys have a lot of flights on the giles and know what works .
