Hellow every one, I'm just converting a showtime to e-power.
The question I have to you is about the reciver and servos power suply.
Is a ubec reliable, I saw this one - http://www.hobby-lobby.com/ubec.htm , it will have to suply 5 digital servos-
JR ds8311 , will it handle the amprage and is it safe ?
the other posebility is a saparated battery - lipolt 7.4 with aregulator such as this :
http://www.rc-electronic.com/html/en.../englisch.html - dpsilr
http://www.rc-electronic.com/html/en.../englisch.html - 1000mah
or a 6v nimeh battery such as this one:
http://www.cheapbatterypacks.com/mai...gid=loosecells - cbp1150
I would be happy to hear your opinion considering to the lightest and most reliable possibilety ther is, also if you have other suggestions .
thanks for reading ,
nir.

zee_man; I`ve measured the UBEC (KoolFlight) which you suggest and they perform well. The worst UBEC I have had on my testbench were in fact made in US...

zeeman,
the medusa research line of BEC's has a 3.5 amp model that can handle up to 8 servos for $35.99. and like i said so far i like there ESC's and i will also be buying one of these BEC's soon for a project that im doing.
so now it comes down to personal choice and research to figure out which one you want/like and your all set
