Electric Decathlon
Ok, I had bought and built a House of balsa schoolyard scale Super Decathlon. I never flew it. Now that I'm really getting into electrics id like to convert it to electric. But I have no idea of what motor and power setups I should have for it. Here are my planes specs:
Wing span 47 in.
Fuselage length 29 in.
Wing area 329 sq. in.
Wt. with radio 24 oz.
Wing loading 10.5 oz./sq. ft.
2 to 3 ch. standard
Any help is appreciated.

RE: Electric Decathlon
I'd look into a AXI 2808 or 2814. Or a E-Flite - Power 25. I have moved to the eflite motor since I think they are a better buy right now. Although their motor might be a bit to powerful for a plane of this type. Either of them with a 3S lipo should work. Look at the web sites for more info.
