Default newby to electric - what motor for an 09 size plane

I have a "Herr Little Somethin' Extra"
( see posts at = http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_28...tm.htm#2881346 )

and spec etc at =

basically =
Wingspan: 36.5
Weight: 18 - 22 oz
Wing Area: 344 sq in

It flies quite nicely with a Thunder Tigre 10

Question = What electric motor should I use to get similar performance ?

I will preferably be using 8.4 volt Li-ion packs ( 2 cells in series or 2 of these packs "doubled up" in parallel )
Not sure what rating these cells are, but 2 of them in parallel run my geared 380 on a 9x7.5 APC for about 20 mins.
I am using these because I have lots of them, from Dell laptop battery packs ( heavy duty type )

My 380 geared motor is from a "Thunder Tiger Sparky"
( see posts at = http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_10...tm.htm#1012365 )

Would this motor be any use in the "Little Somethin' Extra" ?

I am trying to get a usable electric motor without spending too much cash !!

Regards all

I think that motor/gearbox set-up would fly it, but it wouldn't be up to the potential of the airframe...nothing spectacular in other words...

Thanks proptop

So worth a try just to get me going with it.

Next question = what type of electric motor should I be looking for ( perhaps on ebay ) to give the power of a good .10 and towards the power of a .15 ? ( pref not too much cost and OK to use with 8.4 V Li-ion cells - I am ok at wiring them to give required capacity )
