Default 4star 60

I was looking at the 4star60 I have built and was thinking which motor to go with?
Weight about 7Lbs,920sqin WS71in.
i was looking at the AXI2826/10 with 10 or 12 cells and 40plus amp controller..
Do you think this will work ok,,they fly slow or fasrt and are farly light..
Thank you
thomas

Hi Tom, Yes it will fly it but not for high end aerobatics. I have that combo in a 7 pound J-3 and it flies just great. I use a 3700 ma 11.1 liPoly but my motor is a 2826-12, don't know if that makea a difference. You might consider a 14.8 3700 or 4000 LiPoly, it mighty goose you up a bit. Norm

I don't think you will be happy with that combo. I have an AXI 4120-18 in mine with 6s li-poly. Performance is good but not breath taking. My 2826 is in a 5 lb plane on 4s li-poly so I have a comparison.

Thanks for the info.
Ive been reading more on motors and controllers,So Iem thinking of useing the PETE&POKE instead of the 4*60.
I have a Pete&pokke built ,over 820 plus Sq in area, and fly it with a magnum 52 4c,at half thrttle,Its also is very light but really flys great.Plus with the motor combo,AXI2826/10 with 10 or 12 cells and 40plus amp controller should work great..Any input will be great on this model.
So Bob I thank u for the comparasion..

The power 60 or AXI 413016 on 6s with a 16-10 APC eprop and a cc phx 60 or 80 will do the job handsomely, 900 to 1kilowatt or so power level.

no excuses, no compromises, just sparkling performance.
