Hi,

I have an Extra 300S - 160R from "The World Models" with the below specifications and I want to power it with an electric motor. Is there a conversion kit for it? if not, then can someone recommend an electric system for it?

Thank you.

Okay get something along the lines of what is stated below:

Batt - 25C 10S 5,000 ( or 2 packs of 5S 5,000 mAh in series)
ESC - 90A HV (high Volt, means for 10S-12S use), can be branded like JETI/Castle/Hyperion Creation or something from Hobby City
Motor - AXI 5330, DualSky 6360, Hacker A60-16M, Hyperion 5025 or 5035 etc, basically you want a 63mm outrunner of about 210KV-230KV
Prop - around 20x10 to 22x11

You can expect amp draw of around 75A giving you about 2,300W. As cor conversion kit you just need to get the motor mount kit or fabricate some stand offs. Here's an example of mine. Its simple to do. Please sure that you have large washers at the base of the stand offs, if not the mount will not be secure, it will wobble.

Of course do not worry about weight, you want to have some weight up front as it will probably be tail heavy since motors are light. Enjoy yourself and please post some pics up!
