1/12 PICA P-51B conversion to e-power

I just picked up one of these kits at a real bargain and thought it would be fun to convert to e-power. Does anyone have any experience with this model or any of the 1/12 PICA glow kits converting them to electric? I am particularly interested in the battery/motor combo that worked best.

Thanks,

JimboP

If you go over the the e-zone ( ezonemag.com ) and search for Genovia, you will find alot of information. I think hes done the P-51 and maybe some others, using Mega motors and HeCells or KAN's

Hi

1/12 warbirds... I´ve been thinking of building one for aircombat, minimum weight is 700g and you are limited to a 8x5 prop (at least here in Sweden)

700g is hard with nimhs, but very possible on li-po.

how ever, I found that 7xHR2600, and a 100g motor would get you down to 800g. and still have a tad more power then the .15 powerd ones, for all 7min that the heat is on.

I would choose a Mega 16/25/3 swinging a APC E 8x5. in 7x2600. this givers you more power then a BB .15 for 6min or so. with a little throttle management you will eaily reach the 7min limit.

sounds good does´t it? :D
