Extase conversion
I have a new ARF Extase by RC Plane Power from Canada. This is a 980 sq. in., 5.5 to 6 lbs., with a .60-size 2-cycle fun/3D flyer. This thing is built in the Czech republic and the workmanship is incredible. At any rate, I was going to put a YS .63 in it but with all the talk of electric aerobatic flying, I have to try a conversion....question is, with so many different motor-gearbox-prop and battery combinations available, I have no idea of what to get....I want excellent vertical performance with reasonable battery life.
Any one out there have any suggestions? Oh boy.....did I open up a hornet's nest!!! Many thanks, Horrido |

Hi
Check this site they have the Extase 3D and give recommended power systems for electric - http://www.espritmodel.com/ Look under Aircraft then select Aerobatic e-planes and you'll see quite a list of what they have and there are recommendations for all of them. This is what they have for the Extase 3D - Good: Hacker B 50 10L, 20x11 Better: Hacker B50 9XL 6.7:1, 20x11 Engine: .40-.75 16/20-1700NiCD/3000NiMH 50mm spinner |
