Default What enigne is this?

I bought this .61 back in the late 90's from a catalog. I don't remember where it came form. Very well could have been a Hobby-Lobby catalog "the hobby company, not the craft store" but not sure. Anyway it is a clone of something. The only marking is 61 on the side and made in Taiwan on the cover plate, no serial numbers anywhere. The muffler is a replacement from another company so its not the original. And the silver extension was added on the HSN. It comes out heavy for a .61 at 27.5oz with muffler. Sorry its a little dirty in the pics.
I flew the engine back in early 2000's in a Great Planes Easy Sport 40. I never had any problems with the engine and it ran smooth and transitioned well. thanks

I don't know but it looks like a Thunder Tiger copy of a OS FX.

Yep not a Sanye product. How about the folks that made Tiger Shark? Leo? I don't know. I'm not familiar with Leo. That is a heavy engine.

Sorry I thought you were refering to the Peoples Republic of China. The ROC is Democratic, the PROC is Communist.

I thought it looked familiar. I believe that that is the engine that my Lincoln .61 is based on.

It is a Mutunuc .61.

The logo is on the silencer.

** Edit**

The OP says the silencer is not orginal fitment.

In that case, I would say it is a BlueBird (aka BRAT) .61

I also bought the carb shown above on that engine, as a carb on it's own, for a cheap price, new but not in a packet, off the infamous internet auction site. It is a work of art, and fitted perfectly to mye Irvine .61 RE pattern engine.

Comparing my engine to the pics in the ebay link, as far as i can tell that engine is 100% identical to mine. I think its safe to say i have a verdict. Im etching megatech/leo on the engine. thanks.

I guess this depends if you are Chinese or not ! To the Chinese, Taiwan is just a wayward province
