STRIPED THREADS FOR GLOW PLUG
Hey can anybody help me out I have an OS 60 that has the glow plug threads striped out thought about going to the machine shop to see if it can be heil coiled any help would be appreciated thanks Matt

Clarence Lee is the main man to go to for stripped out glow plug holes.
Although you can DIY it yourself, but you need to buy a kit for it with the inserts. They do sell them, but they tend to be more expensive though. But you usually get enough parts to do several repairs.
A few other model engine repair shops also perform the repair too.

Besides Heli-Coils (you need to special order the 1/4x32 glow plug version), there is also the Time-Sert version too.
If you have a lathe, you can turn down brass rod stock, thread it, and drill and tap it as needed to make your own inserts too.
Send it to Clarence Lee and he will install a heli coil. Send just the head $20 post paid, but this was a old thread and the price might have gone up a little since then.

Mr Lee repaired a enya 90 exhaust port for me, really excellent work.
