Default Enya R-120 FS Question

I have an old but new in the box Enya R-120 and have mounted it on a Hangar 9 Razorback. The question I have is this; Do I need to install a pressure tap on the muffler? Enya does not mention this anywhere in the instructions, maybe because it doesn't need one but all the Saitos, Magnums and OS four strokes that I've owned all had one. All recommendations are appreciated.

Happy Flying!

My R120-4C came with a tap installed in the muffler out of the box and I do use it. I have not tried running it without pressure so I do not know if it's needed or not.

My R1.20's all has muffler pressure fittings on them and I use them too. I never tried running them without it. The engines would run without muffler pressure, but the carburetor would be more sensitive to the fuel level in the tank though.

I also use the muffler tap on mine. Great engine.

Anyone been able to get a velocity stack made to fit an R120-4C? Mine spits an obscene amount of fuel from the carburetor regardless of what prop is on it. It was the worst with an APC 15x7, only slightly better with a 13x8, 13x9, or 13x10. If I had it on a plane I'd have some serious oil soaked wood problems!

edit: this engine is ridiculously powerful.... But holy cow! It's messier than my bushing engines...
