Damaged carb threads
I have an OS 70 FS 70 Surpass that is leaking fuel between the carburetor and the needle valve housing. The engine runs fine, though it's messy and increases fuel consumption, suffice to say. After removing the engine from the pane, the culprit seems to be a damaged carb housing, with some threads missing as a result.
A new carb is probably the best solution, but it seems to be discontinued. Finding one may be difficult. While I hunt for one, what would be the best way to seal the leak? Would some kind of silicone or perhaps JB Weld create a watertight seal for a weekend of flying? I would ideally want to use something that could allow the needle valve housing to be removed, so it can be used on the new carb.
Thanks in advance!

+1 on Speedracer idea. You really shouldn't have to take that part off again. I was going to suggest just cleaning really good and putting some silicone on the threads and mating surface to seal the ding you have but I think the jb weld would be better in this situation.
