I think it is drilled for the bypass. There may be matching hole(s) in the piston. The piston should have the baffle close to the bypass, and then the head to match. Even my newer one that is schneurle has the hole lined up for the boost port. I think that may be why it is slower than all my other .15's. Even the LA which doesn't even have a boost port.

I own and fly several TT .15 bushing engines. They run and throttle great, but I can see how a newbie could run into a few problems here and there. Especially if the engine was taken from the store by a previous owner and abused a bit.
