Onboard starter
Hi,
I am looking to start building a Lancaster from plans this year, as the plane will have 4 motors and my love of glow engines, I want to find a slightly safer solution to start them. The idea of working next to a running engine just worries me. I have looked at the FEMA starters and these are a possibility but for 4 engines that is like $1000 bucks with the adapters. What I was wondering is if anyone has ever made there own homemade starter and would be able to post some information about how they did it. I have done some research and think I could do this, for made $50 to $100 an engine, but more information would be helpful.
