How much power can be restored?

Default How much power can be restored?

I have several thunder tiger .46 airplane engines,they all ran good before,Just as they getting old,The compression lost gradually.I wonder if change their piston and sleeve how much power can be restored?
Any body would like to share you experience? Thank you.

if you replace the Piston and Liner I would say very much of 100%, that is as long as the Crank Bearings/Bushing, Rod Bushings and Piston Rest Pin is in good shape too,

I would not worry to much if the pinch still exists at the TDC. As the engine warms up, it will expand and the clearance will not be a problem. Just make sure you have some Castor oil in your fuel and you are good to go.

I have tried it and it totally succeed.The por46 is a pro again.
