Default What carburetor is needed for a OS max 40sr. And where can you get them.

I recently acquired a OS max to 40sr verry cheep as it is missing it's carb. I have done some research but have come up blank. Does anyone know where I would be able to get a carb for it and if the original type is not available anymore what I could use as an alternative.

The 40 max used a 4A carb and the 40FSR used a 4B and a 4BK. The 4BK was a replacement for the 4B. There's is probably a Perry carburetor that could be used . I wouldn't know the specific one.

if you want to fly it and are not worried about having the stock carb I would find out if an AX 40/46 carb will fit it and use one of those.

or you can find a new carb (air bleeder) here in this link. scroll down a bit.

It looks like to me that you can order the carburetor for a OS 35 AX and it will fit right in a 40 FSR. I am ordering one for my 40 FSR.

Perrypumps.com. It's a small operation so there might be some turnaround time if he doesn't have the part on the shelf but he is a nice fellow to deal with.
