Pitts style muffler for Saito 4 stroke?
Greetings All Knowledgeabe Ones!
I'm looking for muffler options for two projects. Is there a Pitts style muffler for Saito engines?
Specifically, I'm looking to put a Saito 100 in a GP Lanciar and a Saito 180 in a DP Ultimate 120.
Thanks for your help. Cheers!

Thanks for the info. Wow! $90 bucks for a muffler. That's pretty steep. I guess they can charge that since there doesn't seem to be many 4 stroke Pitts muffler makers out there.
I'll have to think about this one. Thanks again for the referrals.

RE: Pitts style muffler for Saito 4 stroke?
SkyDude,
I have an inverted Pitts muffler on a Saito 91 in my Model Tech P-47 ARF that works great. It enabled me to mount the cowl without hacking it up for the factory muffler. Another flyer had me built his Great Planes 1/3 scale Pitts ARf with an OS 300 Super Gemini Twin. Slimline made up a muffler that had the exhaust stacks exiting at the scale locations.
In both cases, the Slimline mufflers had an excellent fit, the engine performance was great and the sound was awsome! On the Jug, the sound was deeper & throatier than the factory muffler while the sound of the Pitts going over was a lot like the full size!
I am glad that the Slimline Pitts mufflers were used on both airplanes and do not regret the extra investment at all.
Smooth Landings,
Jake
