moki 210
I just bought a Yak 54 with a MOKI 210 in the nose from a club member. It has one flight on it. I have never run a moki but hav a ST 3000 that is a great engine. Will the moki run on the same fuel? I am also looking for suggested prop sizes. I have no interest in "3d" flying. I want to get into precesion areobatics in stead of burning holes in the sky. I got a great deal on this plane.

APC 20X10 or 20X8. Use 0 to 5% nitro fuel (it will pre-detonate on anything higher). Fuel must be at least part castor oil. With BCM muffler, fuel pressure is insufficient, so guys either instal a pump or block-off one exhaust outlet (that's what I do).
Great engine, btw.

Moki makes a great engine, but some have had problems with insufficient fuel flow through the recommended (by the importer Gerard) 3/32 ID fuel lines. I had no problems as long as I ran 5% nitro half-and-half castor/synth oil Mach 7 fuel from Morgan. I sold it to a friend who changed fuels and added some castor; the engine would not run properly until he opened up the fuel line to 1/8 ID from the clunk to the carb. I never found it necessary to run a pump, regulator, or to plug one exhaust tube. What fuel are you running in the ST 3000? DO NOT run fuel designated for Supertigre 3000 engines! Some of these fuels have only 5% oil in them. Check oil content first! Gerard recommends at least 25% of the oil be castor. Morgan sells it for the same price with 1/4, 1/2, or all castor.

I AM RUNNING OMEGA FUEL. I HAVE ALREADY CHANGED THE FUEL LINES TO LARGER DIAMETER. tHIS ENGINE IS A JEWEL wITH ONLY A HALF DOZEN FLIGHTS ON IT. I SQURT A LITTLE FUEL IN THE CARB, PULL IT THROUGH A COUPLE OF TIMES, FLIP IT BACKWARDS ONCE AND ITS RUNNING.

You don't have to plug one exhaust exit.. If you spend some time with the engine get her good and broken in.. she'll work fine! My ST 1.40 doesn't have a stack plugged.. everyone thought it had to to run right.
