Default Arne Hende' LEJA .99 Fourstroke Reproduction

I don't know if this is the right forum or not but I thought someone might like to see this engine.
Yes, there are screws missing from the front housing but normally they would be there.

Arne Hende' stopped by the house last week and showed me his latest reproduction engine.

This is an American LEJA .99 fourstroke.

Arne made thirty of these beauties. They sell for $1,200 and are being snapped up by collectors who know about Arne's engines.

Doesn't he make some gorgeous engines? I've seen his full size McCoy 60 and Dooling 61 and his miniature Dooling 29. I know he makes many other miniatures but I've only seen photos of some of them.

I like the .09 mini-McCoy .60 too. He also made a diesel version.

Most of my AH engines are from .09 down, except for an Elf Twin and a couple of Amco BB 3.5cc engines.

I made the plastic display boxes for Arne's smaller engines so I guess I have most of them.

Here is a shot of the McCoy .09 in both glo and diesel variations.

Another shot shows three AH .09 engines with an original McCoy .098 so you can get an idea of relative size. These engines are gem-quality.

Did anyone notice the LEJA's method of valve actuation? Look and examine the pictures carefully. Simply brilliant!!!! My mouth is watering!

funny you mention that...just yesterday i came across some pics of a cave-cobra replica in the photo gallery at http://staff.dstc.edu.au/chernich/ron/index.html

beautiful engine and looks like it has the same type of cylinder porting as a cox. would love to see what the innards look like.

second pic is with a dooling replica

Hi Dave,

Yeah, that's the Cave Cobra. I couldn't believe how exotic it looked when Arne showed it to me.

He's done so many engines and they are all works of art.

I also like the Dooling .61, Fox .59 and McCoy .60. Wish I could afford them, I'd have them all.

He also made a Bantam .16 that was another Gem.

Here is a Deiselized K&B Series-64 .15 he gave me and a Miniature Motors .104 he did from a casting set.

I wonder why he had a Slovakian email address.
Is this an oil reservoir in front?

In Arne’s last few years he purchased a small Hotel in Slovakia. Sorry I never got to take him up on his offer to visit.
