Saito power but which size for me?
I have a cap which weighs about 6 1/2 lbs with the current 60 size engine in it.
I want to really over power this plane and throw it around.
Instantly pull out of a hoover?
which saito will best do this and pull me right out?
will the 80 be enough or the 100 or go crazy and squeeze a 120 in there.
the plane is the kyosho cap 232 breitling which calls for a 46 but that is crazy. I had an irvine 53 in there which pulled it around but that's all it did.
then I mounted my rossi 60 which pulls it better but the rossi likes rpm and I want to have fun at slower speeds.

6 1/2 pounds a 91 is perfect
go for a 91 , i put one on a 7 1/2 ound sky tiger and it is a animal with a 13/8 or a 14/6. mine will climb out of a hover with no problem and yours is a pound lighter. also the 91 is actually lighter than the 80 . Same case just bored more. Ive heard good things about the 1.00 too but have yet to see one.

Go with the 100!
There is no substitute for a bigger prop. The 100 has significantly more power and weighs in similar to the 90, 80, and even the 65 for that matter.
I've got an OS 90 FX (one of the good-running ones, thankfully) on a BalsaNova 40 and the plane performs like you wouldn't believe. All the radio gear is in the tail but no unnecessary tailweight is added. I've had it for a year now and so far the plane has stood the test of time. If any of you has had this kit you will know that it is very tough due to the balsa sheeting. The plane is slightly heavy though - at around 6 pounds.
But this is nothing for a 90 - the vertical performance is unbelievable. It is like the plane is shot out of a hover with a slingshot. And the repeated knife-edge loops at low altitude are only possible because of the power on the nose.
...Anyway, I would definitely stay away from the 120.
Oh, and another benefit of a big prop and a light plane (I have a 16/6 on my BN) is the breaking power you get when throttling back your engine.
Whatever you decide: good luck.

Saito Stuff
My wife got me a new Saito 100 for Christmas but I haven't run it yet. According to Horizon the 100 will turn a 14x8 @ 9,300 rpm which is 300 rpm faster on 15% nitro and 700 rpm faster on 30% than the Saito .91 or OS .91. The 100 is about $35.00 more than the .91. Sometime today I'll weigh the Saito .91 and 100 out of curiosity. If someone would like for me to post it here I will.
