So look very carefully at the right hand side of the lower pics. Some single cyl eng in a vise, looks like a 4 stroke pipe sticking out. Wonder if they are going to knock off some Seidel singles? (I sure would)

Thank you....

Here is another plane to add to the radial engine plane list...

"The world of 1/5th scale warbirds has suddenly become very affordable with the launch of the new, big, Black Horse Corsair. At 90 inch span this is a serious size model, but by careful use of laser cut, balsa and ply components, weight has been kept down to an amazing 18 1/2lbs. This low weight allows the use of affordable 50cc engines that are becoming so popular now. Fit a 62cc engine an you have real performance in the vertical.

The outline has been kept as close to scale as possible to keep the classic look 'all Corsair' as she grooves around the sky in a manner that only big models like this can. Black Horse made sure that the gull wing angle was correct as the easy option was never a consideration.

Not only are the multi-section flaps true to the original, there are air operated, twist and turn retracts included complete with functioning oleo legs. These are items that are nearly always a major additional cost in many models of this size, not so with Black Horse, they're there as standard!!

For easy of transpotation, the individual wing sides can be easily removed.

The whole model is clothed in duarble Oracover covering, so she will retain her looks for many years to come. The use of Oracover means that damaged covering is easily and exactly matched by a visit to your local model shop.

Flying is so predictable and easy that you could even make her your first warbird. The stall is benign and she handles predictably and stabiliy at all speeds.

Specification

Wingspan: 2310mm (90.04in)
Length: 1750mm (68.90in)
Weight: 8.4kg (18.52lbs)
Servos: 9 Servos (8kg min on elevator/aileron)
Radio System: 6/7 Channel
IC Engine: 50 -62cc Petrol

THis is coppied from the other post, but what the heck....round cowled planes are the best...

There is a 90" corsair comming from BH models...
50-70cc...
This would be a good candidate for some radials....
It has a 3-piece wing....
I do not think the ESM Corsair will...

Nice Fairchild PT-23 with Robart R780 Radial Engine. I thought I was the only guy other than Ziroli who actually flew a R780. This guy has the engine running really well.

Felix,

What is the outside dimension of the engine - diameter? Trying to figure out whether it will fit. Great video BTW - sounds fantastic!

Thanks much.

Thanks Felix. I read that number on their site but it seemed so small I thought it was the mounting bolt dimensions. Looks like it will fit easily.

Yea, I did the math. In roundish numbers the 70 is 9.25 and the 90 is 10.30

I feel certain that this was covered someplace in this forum, but I just don't have the brain energy to go thru 74 pages looking. Lazy hu!!!!
I boought my first radial, a Saito 1.70 three cylinder to go in my PAC Clip Wing Monocoupe. I ran it on a test stand yesterday for 15 minutes. Looking at the engine from the front, the lower left cylinder is not firing. I'm using Omega 10% with an extra 2 oz. of castor oil added. Prop is a Zinger 16 x 8. Fire is from a wiring harness from a single D cell NiCd 5000 mAH. Checking the volts at each plug shows 1.29 at all three. An unusual amount of unburned oil is coming from the exhaust. I'm using the Kelco collector ring. The cylinder is cool. Compression feels ok. I don't have a compression checker. Any ideas on this?

They give you a heads up when they come in but they dont give lead times on restocking. At this point I wouldnt even warrant a guess.

Best bet...goto thier forum and ask there. They have a couple of guys there that I believe work at the plant so they sometimes can get some inside info on stuff like this.

I don't want to say you are lying, but.... I was the first to order the engine from Hobby King (their stock level was 1) and I received it a week ago. As a matter of fact, I di a test stand run on it today and it sounded PURDY!...
Vid and pix to follow...

1. Yea they did. Stocked 2 and we know both the guys here that got them

2.Of course they havent recieved them..or they would fill current orders (BO's IE:yours)

3. Of course not.

4. Now THATS THE QUESTION. Seems like they sell something to feel out the market and then place a larger and larger order so it takes a while. Ive seen the same pattern with Batts, gas motors, etc. Ill bet they didnt order till those 2 sold (which was quick). Im curious HOW MANY they ordered this time......and of course I believe now we will know how long it takes the factory (India) to recieve an order and build the product for delivery.

Thanks for the heads up on the Saitos

Yeah, it only took them a couple days to figure that they could easily get more for the Seidels'. Someone said that they got free shipping with the purchase of an additional item. I ordered a few more things and they charged me the regular amount. On the positive side, I did not pay any tax or Duty... Thought that was strange, seeing as the Sonic Tronics glow ignitor from the US cost me an extra 13.00 for tax and handling fees. Maybe I will have to shop in Hong Kong more often...
