1/5th SIG Piper Cub. Have an FA-100 GK on mine and more than enough power.

this saito 65 continues to amaze me.

Friday night I landed and noticed the pressure fuel line on my .65 was flopping around in the prop wash. Upon closer inspection, the muffler nipple was stuck in the fuel line because it had broken off the muffler. I put the fuel line over the allen wrench I use to adjust my high speed needle (just so the fuel line would not be flapping in the breeze) and made another 5 flights that night and 15 or so more over the weekend. It ran flawless and I did not have to make any needle adjustments. Awesome. I ordered a new muffler Sunday and hopefully i have it for this weekend.

Acdii. You liking that OS 52.? had one on this plane but swapped it out for the 65 after I tore the firewall out of it last month. I love my .52, just looking for something to put it on now.

Its a good running engine and hasnt let me down. Doesn't start as easy as the Saito's or the Magnums, have to use a starter on it. Once started though, runs good, plenty of power for the LT-40.

Unbolt the carby and rotate it left or right depending on whether you are or not,if the holes line up your home and hosed.

Hey sammy happy your 91 will pull that oh so light stinson around buddy and sorry to mention someone you don't know let me clear that up.Once upon a time there used to be a mod here called hobbsy or dave,he is remembered here for his fatal attraction to 5000hp tractors that you could drag off with a 50cc vespa and your girlfriend on the back.

Sammy,

I'm looking forward to hearing how that Stinson flies on the .91. Wouldn't be surprised if you had to move all the radio gear as far forward as you can to get it balanced.

Whats net about this plane is that it has a two peace wing on a tub, removable stab, doors on both sides, windshild comes out to service gas tank or ? But the best part is that it was $263.00 to my door! (Bought from HK east) our Arkasas store. HK has two, a yellow ans blue one and a red white and red one. Only the white and red one has flaps, nav lights, hinged doors, (The yellow one, you screw the door in. I'm making hinges for mine) latches for doors and ladders and more. But! it also coust about $50.00 more and l can make my own. Ck, it out at HK, it's well built.
I just went onto HK's site & checked out the spec's for the Stinson.

At 8# & 85" WS the FA-91 should be adequate but marginal.

Why in the world they spec this as a 30cc gas airframe is beyond me. A 30cc gas single would soon shake such a light airframe to pieces IMO.

I live 13 miles from Canada eh? The local radio station is based in Ottawa yet also broadcasts from Massena, NY. We get the temperatures in both F and C, so one learns the relationship. 30C is getting warm, 40C is HOT! 0C is a warm winter day. -40 is the same whether F or C.

40 degrees is Hot and 0 is warm? I think you have your conversion wrong. The first is deadly hot and the later is right at freezing!

Opps, it was 45 in Pheonix, not 32. I subtracted from the wrong number.

In Winter, 0C or 32F is a warm day in these parts.

Too warm for good XC skiing.

My Saito 72 seems to have lost power since I replaced the bearings. Could I have gotten the cam gear mis-aligned by one gear tooth? Would it even run if I were off by one gear tooth??

If it ran at all it would sputter & run very rough. 1 tooth would be 15 crankshaft degrees out of time. That is HUGE for cam timing. Any time I've gotten one 1 tooth out it would spit, kick back against the electric starter & fail to start.
