Since we seem to be "off topic" anyway, now might be a good time to show off my just completed rifle project'

Well, I see the site is still giving you grief on adding pictures. Either that or a mod just butchered you.

How did you post that?

I don't understand why this site has such asinine practice on direct posting of RESIZED pictures. This is the ONLY site that does this. My photos are all sized to 640 x 480 which is within the size rules yet these jerks insist on their stupid "attachment" process. Show me ONE other message board that does this. I am not aware of one.

I right clicked on the picture from Horizons site, copy image location and pasted the url into the image thing next to the smiley face. I have done the attachments too from my iphone without having to do anything to them, and they show up as thumbs. I have also posted photos on facebook and did the same thing with the url.

Dave- that short story of your daughter has made a permanent image in my mind of her hair flying out. Nice story and thanks. Same goes to Pete for the story of riding inside of his dad's jacket.

Sorry for being gone a few days but I've been under the weather and just didn't feel good enough to sit at the computer. As for our friend Mr. Pope, he is still around and doubtlessly reading daily. He can post any time he wishes as long as his posts are suitable.

Nice pics, Wildcat. I noticed that you mentioned a 'patina' on some metal work on the rifle, and thought I would mention that copper is the only metal with a patina. Patina refers to the green color as the copper reaches maximum strength.

Well, Patina can be used in anything related to antiques today. Also known as the greasy gummy surface on old furniture that drives the price up on it, the more layers of the gummy grimy "patina" the better.

Kind of like that goo that is on an old Saito that ran on Castor.

Definition of patina

plural patinas \pə-ˈtē-nəz, ˈpa-tə-nəz\ or patinae \pə-ˈtē-ˌnē, -ˌnī, ˈpa-tə-\

1a :a usually green film formed naturally on copper and bronze by long exposure or artificially (as by acids) and often valued aesthetically for its color
b :a surface appearance of something grown beautiful especially with age or use

As for the "nice pictures"? Why is this the the ONLY site that will not allow posting appropriately sized images directly form a hosting site? Not a single one of the numerous other sites I frequent has such an outdated procedure for posting pictures.

LOL try the F150 forum. You either upload, or use a URL, and half the URL doesn't work at all.

Default Saito FA 90TS Engine Box

Anyone have the "innards" for the Saito FA 90TS box, or just 90TS Twin box inards? I have the new box, need the insides. I advertised my new FA90TS, seems no one wants it without it looking like it just came
from the factory. Galaxy Hobby in Poland supplied the new box. I also need the instruction manual, tool kit and the glow ignition wires for this engine.
I have the Keleo exhaust, all new.

I have the glow plug wires from a 100 twin that I wont use . You can have them for the price of postage but I live in Oz . I sent a engine to the usa for about $12 so it wouldnt be too expensive . The glow plug tool is pretty dumb , I guess u can have that too but the spanner , feeler gauge and the rest I want to keep . Cheers

Cranky the things people throw in the rubbish bin (trash can) can make you sick later the 90ts heads look like all the other saito twins should.I was so in awe of my new 182td flat twin that i did a smash and grab job on the new box,had it bench mounted in ten minutes flat.No idea what happened to the packaging etc it was love at first sight...till i decided to sell it.It's kinda like getting divorced but without so much bad feelings

ps the keleo exhausts are very good, they make the saito 200r3 sound really nice

Thanks Flyer. I have one more, going to go in the Sig 1/5 scale Cub. I modified it, rear servo elevators, pull pull on rudder servo behind the rear bulkhead, access from bottom of fuselage.
I build the classics, except my love for these Cubs. Solartex Cub Yellow and Robart gear. Here are a few pictures of a Hangar 9 Cub I did few years ago, with a Saito 60 Twin. This 90TS will go up for sale.
