Welcome to Club SAITO !

Started the Fuse on the 4*60 yesterday and mounting an FA-91 to it. The plans have an FA-65 on them, the 91 is not much larger, and the carb sits at the same spot. Just need a 12 oz fuel tank now.

I swapped a friend a SuperTigre G-21 .46 for a little machine work, I sent him the stock muffler, elbow and the TurboHeader. He made the adapter you see and an adapter elbow.
AC, I have the ACE 4-120 about half built for my Saito 1.50. It's going weigh just under a ton when finished.

I have an ACE 4-60 I bought for the Saito 72 that was on it. I put an OS-70 on it instead and it needed a ton of lead to balance, so I can believe the 120 would be a brick too.

Dave a good tradesman never blames his tools/props and that goes for you too barry
those mas master props do flex a lot but not enough to reach out and grab your fingers..you only see that on a bench run most times, are you going to buy a motorcycle and get some hair in the breeze?

Dave, that is the best running engine I've ever seen (or heard). Well, I actually didn't hear it often when Jim was doing touch and goes because it idled so low. We were good friends but he wouldn't tell me what it idled at. I asked a few times and he played dumb about it, and you and I know he knew exactly what it was turning. I still laugh about that and you have a great engine.

I have a GK 100 like that in the Cub. Likes to idle really low. I broke my last Evolution 15 x 6 prop for it when I crashed the Biper, so I hope the one on it now lasts me a while. Can't get them anymore.

I hope 'franky' makes a return soon and agree with your comments. My take on the mas props are safety related, man they can take a beating on a test flight and that's what you need if it's a tail wheel with a grunty saito two sizes to big engine, that does'nt need any lead at the back.Everybody knows it's going to swerve left on takeoff and probably try to pitch over the 'P' factor but1 they don't know how much yet
If you like flying in circles at head height i've found apc props make the best out of saitos cheers

It does make you wonder how we ended up with two transmitter modes in the first place?

Well in all honesty i have seen and heard of a few guys around here that fly mode 1. Thats how there were taught, i even have a couple of transmitters on mode 1. Of course when you’re at the field and someone calls for help. You better know what he is using. I was able to help but it took a second to worp my brain to help but i got it.

What is screwy to me is all electric helicopters rotate the wrong way, or actually the European and Russian way. American helicopters rotate the other way and that's what I'm used to from flying in the service. Single rotors want to rotate when you add power and it was backwards for me at first, but I'm okay with it now
Here's a trivia thing- the Army UH-1 Hueys have the tail rotor on the left. Navy and Marine UH-1 Hueys have it on the right. .
