Don't name your saito rig big arnie jim. He's been known to cross pollinate without permission and it would be risky to park your plane near others in the pits. Who wants a bunch of baby saito's that may sound like two strokes ?
ps who remembers an awful movie from the early 70's called no mercy joe?

I need some help locating at least a prop washer.
I couldn't pass on the deal on never ran (been mounted) Saito 45 MK III (no box or manual). It came with the Dubro 6x1.0mm aluminum prop nut which I hate. So, I gave it away to a senior club member who needed it for his Goldberg Cub. Then, I can't find a set of prop nut & washer for it. 😂
Anyone know where I can find one set. At least a washer is necessary. None of the current Saito uses 6mm shaft.
I am going to put it in the Kyosho Cessna 172 from early 80s this winter.
Anyone have a set laying around or know where I can get it, please let me know.
Thank you,

The pump actuator rod will eventually wear a groove into the cam, at least thus one did.
Could it be the pump is dry and needs primed to start working? That happens with some 2 stroke gasser carbs when they're left dry all winter.
EDIT: Nevermind, I forgot it's an air pump.
Maybe one of the pump valves is stuck open or you may have to spin the engine with a starter to feel any pressure out of the vent.

If it is 7 mm I may be able to fix you up. I'll report back.

If it's 7mm the prop nut and washer are available at horizon.

IIRC, the 45S is 7mm but the early 45 is 1/4-28 like the 30.

Nrrd some help here. Saito FG11 ( small gas ) I can get it to run fine up to about 7000 rRPM then after that it cuts out. I can Turn the high speed needle out as much as I want and it doesnt affect how it runs at all. The factory recommended settings are 4/5 to 1 turn out on the high speed and 4 to 5 turns out on the low speed. I can turn the high speed out unti its almost out of the carb body and it still runs the same ( cuts out around 7200 RPM ) Engine is broken in, running 20 to1 mix with Klotz model oil Adjusted the valves running a 13X6 prop that is recommended, 6.6 life ignition battery,New spark plug. any thoughts?

Try enrichening the LS needle, it may be inhibiting the HS needle.

If it turns out to be 7 mm, I have the set. If 6 mm, I only have the jam nut.

This is interesting because, both Peter Chinn and Tru-Turn say the 45 is 6 x 1 mm: Product Listing -

Make sure your fuel tank vent is unobstructed, check your fuel lines for pinholes and make sure your clunk isn't gummed up. If all is good there and you use standard 89 octane ethanolated fuel you may have a gummed up carb. If you use non-ethanolated fuel I would start looking at ignition.
Also, have you tried turning the high speed needle in instead of out? A leaner fuel mix makes more power.

Note: Watch your engine rpm when adjusting the hsn. Bring it to peak by leaning and then richen it a little (250 rpm down from peak) to keep the engine from overheating. Fine tuning gassers has to be done by flying them.
