The Saito engine code for the 72 is RR and for the 82 is AB, the back plate fits both.

just a side note here,
my plan is to use my Saito 100 Twin, so to have more lift for the extra wight I decided not to shorten the wing, I will only round the tips to give the plane an older vintage look.

oops, an edit> when I called, SIGS didn't have any 4-Star 60 ARF tail feathers, that is why I asked about the 64 parts.

thanks !!
Jim
you will be fine, it should work great

It will fit. They are one and the same. You may find your case is distorted and have to scrape down the high spot.

Old age slows down tail chasing, so does marriage.

After my last P51/FA100 deadstick I ran it on the bench with the P51 fuel system, no problems. Hmmmm. My thoughts go towards a cooling issue but heck, it was 51f the last time it deadsticked. Hmmmm.

Did you lift the plane and move it around and put the nose up too? I had a sticking clunk cause issues, and eventually figured it out by rolling the plane sideways and holding it in position for a few moments. The stupid clunk would move to the left, but not the right, so right hand banks would cause air to get in the line. Drove me nuts trying to figure out why the engine kept dying when down to a half tank.

Well its good to have you back Hobbsy!

I dumped Chrome several years back and went to Opera (a European browser my son recommended). I run into an occasional website that doesn't like it but they don't accommodate the trackers as much and don't collect your history like Google.

Yes, clunk tested fine. After the successful bench run I replaced all the lines anyway, cheap insurance. I'll try with no cowl next time I fly it, that is after I fix both broken rectract rails.

push --> limits. LOL

BTW

Saito!!!

Almost finished with the Liberty Sport, only thing holding me back from being 100% are the N struts and a bottle of Lemon Yellow I am waiting on from SIG. Been almost a month since I ordered it. I can finish up the laser cutting and move on to the B-25 with the two FG-30's.

LOL, actually the top of the top wing is Lemon Yellow, the rest is gray, drab gray. I need to update the build thread with the cockpits detailing. I got the windshields and decals on yesterday, but the top wing needs to be finished, can't do that until I get the bottle of dope I ordered at the beginning of the month.
