Ok I will have to say I have spent way to much in the last year. Hopefully this is my last radial, 170 r3, unless I can find a 200 r3.

Your 150GK is making very good numbers, a healthy engine. Have you head-to-head tested CP against CP-MV with that MTEC additive for extra power output?

Hi capt, i have a small, and very vicious, brown and white fox terrier called saito who will be happy to bury your lazy fa125's

Lonnie i am very happy with my three fa82 engines, they are my go to engines for 46 size arf's like the decathlon, the one with the huge dent in the intake tube pulls 300 rpm more than the other two.

ps i hope they let me keep the junior member tag it makes you feel younger
where's the dent ? LOL

Jim

Default Saito

Saito are finicky when you run them inverted. I have 4 fa180s all of which are inverted but with the help from a Perry pump would think they were upright👍

Right side up or inverted I'm seeing no difference in running behavior, that is, if the centerline of the tank is close to level with spraybar. If the tank is at the correct height +/- 3/8" and you're still experiencing problems the engine is either not broke in yet or the LSN is set too rich.

Flooding can be a problem during refueling when inverted. To avoid that I press and hold my throttle cut switch while turning off the main switch on the aircraft. That keeps the throttle completely closed during refueling and transport.

Jim the dent choked the fa82 intake tube by 1/3 nearly half and since that engine out revs the other two it must be near the mythical g spot.

Pete, you may or may not know that I now own a 115, thanks to Mike. I freshened it up a little but haven't run it since the refurb.

Yeah, and they pass wind with no noise or smell. Where's the fun in that?

I cringe at the thought of what your paper shredder could do to one of your planes. Yikes!

Ideas,Feedback?
It is a 60t...

Glowgeek Thanks for the suggestion. That still did not work so I decided to pull the engine apart and saw the cam was damaged probably causing it to no turn true. If you see the end of the cam of broken off. Which in turn was probably causing the intake valve to not function properly. Does not seem like any other damage was done but will fully break it down just in case.

Holy Moly! It's missing a sizable chunk of steel. I wonder where that went.

Ok Guys
Utter devastation and woe unto me.
My FA 62 wouldn't lift my goldberg arf cub off the water this morning.
7000 rpm with a 12/10 on it. Couldn't break the water lock.
Probably lucky it didn't on the maiden.
