Yeah, thats pretty close to it, but has landing lights too. Takes the fun out of making my own though.

Mike has been busy, I texted him the other day and he is usually chatty, but had an early start. He'll be by when he has idle time.

I hope he is getting lots of overtime so he can buy more Saitos and build airplanes to power with them.

This is rather off topic. But I remember a gentleman on here who's avatar was a Farmall tractor. I scrolled back thru the thread but finally gave up trying to find him.
Wife and I have been stream some vids from a farmer in NY. state. He runs all older tractors most of which are Farmalls. One 96 years he still uses. Wanted to share them with him as he sprang right to mind to me.

So hope you don't mind me posting the links.

Ken

That would be Dave or Hobbsy you are looking for.

Personally myself...I use a 1955 Ferguson

Thanks guys even when not stated I know you are all pulling for us. My cousin inherited his father's 1940s Ford tractor with the farm. It is still in use by a cousin of his. Clifford, my cousin, is in his late 70s and retired due to health. I think my uncle had the engine rebuilt about 1975 if I recall correctly. There sure isn't much left of a tractor when you pull the engine.

My 1959 Triumph TR-3A had a modified Ferguson tractor engine. Standard - Triumph recycled a lot of parts in the design of that car.

Oh, is that what you meant the first time? Couldn't image you running gaspoline in your models. Going to convert the FG21 to methanol? If so, I'd like to be first on the list to get the gasser carb if you have no use for it.

That former Avitar was a Farmall Super MD, this one is a Farmall 240, the last of the C, Super C, 200, 230 and 240 series. The last had 31 hp by turning 2,000 rpm.

I'm stalled on covering the Robin Hood 25, I have some light blue coming from MacGregors. Still looking for some Off White. I am mighty tempted to go with Cub Yellow Fabric.

Dave,

I may have enough Cub Yellow fabric to cover that plane.

Lonnie,

Yes, I would convert to methanol. Of course we could work out something on the carb.

They have others without lighting controls. Perhaps the BF2 or BF3 would suit your needs. The PCB layout is different than yours but should be functionally identical.

I've located all the components and may build my own since I will need 5 of them. All the drivers and IC chips for 5 is $47. Just working out the resistor values and the transistor now. Very simple layout, a 6 pole dip switch, 3 motor drivers, a few resistors, one cap, and the IC. I can draw the PC board in light burn and burn my own boards too.

haha. My electronics training kicked back in, so working on the schematics. I discovered though the IC needs to be programmed. That will be the difficult part. I can build the board with ease, but damned if I can figure out the programming.

I've forgotten almost everything I learned in Electronics school. I wouldn't be a bit surprised if EEPROMs were programmable through a cell phone app these days.
