Welcome to Club SAITO !

He easily outran a big salty (croc) but people aren't that quick and if you are silly enough to stand near the same spot close to water every day up north a salty will actively hunt you. If i'd still had a friends fa125 i would have been happy to throw that in as well

[QUOTE=Jesse Open;12664659]Hyjinx, What is the OD of that tube you are forming?
Hey Gary
First was .500 x .035 bent well and made the ring and it butt welded ( wire) easy. Wasn't happy with the blending of the spigot material with the 3/8 od.
Ran back over and got .750 and bent it cold by hand. Butt welded it and am fitting the first spigot. Ended up using brass tubing for the spigot tubes instead of the hdy tube. (lighter)
Planning a " collector" 1" thinwall oval covering the butt weld and an elongated slot out vert on the bottom of the ring.
This one will look similar to the Keleo, future will be a loop with dual outverts. More for cowled types.
Mitch is putting an R 90 three in a big Byron Zeke hull I picked up in toledo last show. I will make the exhaust.
Probably build the ring to exit the cowl like the full scale on each lower cowl skirt.
I built an exhaust for my ums 77. Individual copper pipes off the headers into collectors, exiting the cowl as in the Harvard or Texan. I wasn't happy with the engines performance. I felt the varing lengths caused unequal pressures.
It ran better with a true ring.
I am photo journaling the project. ( Bad at video lol)
Will post when finished to the OS group as this ring is for the Sirius FR 300. Just highlights on this Saito group.
Don't want to offend or bore this fine group with the " lesser" engine manufacturer.

Once the weather warms up and the snow melts. For sure will be making another video, then I can compare the stock pipes with the new ones, as well as the pressure tube I added to see how well it works compared to stock.

Prolly have a beer and your slippers in his mug waiting for your Saito tipped chariot ride up!

My dog is an Australian Sheep Dog, he is rambunctious, very friendly, and fast enough to catch any cats who stray into our yard. He doesn't hurt them though, he simply runs over them, as in, he steam rollers them. It really makes them mad.
I have my 125-a set up to run again, the timing is set at 33 degrees btdc. I might change it to Gary's recommended 35. The prop is a 15 x 7 MA three blade,(picture is a Graupner G-Sonic 15 x 8. I've lost the numbers and need to re-establish them. The smoke is due to the picture being taken when it was about half broken in. As you can see by the oil pool it was still rich.

Great looking buddy there. Bet she takes two hands to handle now, at times.
Also a good looking Rascal there . 80" isn't it? What's pulling it? Was considering a 62, think it's enuf?

That is the original Rascal 40 and I know it has to be about 20 years old or more. There is a 50 in it.
The dog can be a handful at times but she catches more field mice than our cat.

Hey, look at that hummingbird try to get away from that 125!

Well at least it isn't castor, can you imagine the poor soul who eat a hunk of bread laced with Castor! They don't call it the runs for nothing. In fact, the runs came from the early days of flight when castor was the lubricant used, and why they wore scarfs. They would injest so much castor that they would run to the crapper after landing.
