Welcome to Club SAITO !

Chippies are fine models in most any flavor. Had two of them; first one was a Goldberg eith a 91 Enya, the second was my favorite. A Great Planes powered well by a YZ FZ120. Had that one for over 12 trouble-free years, never missed a lick.
Both were inverted.

The heating issue could be a combination on lean mixture aggravated by inadequate cooling(?)

Well, I tried to support my LHS, but hard to support them when they close at 5PM on work day. They usually are open until 8, but my guess is they can't get anyone to work for them. Guess Tower will get my business instead. I ordered some powerbox parts on Friday night, got them today. I was going to the LHS to see if they have any 3D planes, like the Eflite, or pheonix models 20CC, but looks like I will be buying from Tower instead. I get off work at 4:30 and it takes 45 minutes to get there, only to find them closed and driving away. Their loss.

Man, I hate when plans go awry. My $800 worth of parts for the Extra 330 arrived yesterday, si I hook everything up and noticed lights flickering on the Powerbox. After some investigation I found that one bank is dead even though the power lights are on. The other bank is taking all the brunt which is causing the flickering. So now I have to replace the Powerbox.

I've had a few like that, very frustrating. Seems you get one thing worked out and another raises it's ugly head. Keep the faith Todd, it'll be a solid plane once everything is in order.

Well, I guess you could say it falls under the you get what you pay for category. It WAS a free plane. At least the DA100 is a good runner, I hope it didn't get damaged in the corn field when the Rascal went down. The Lion batteries are still good, so there is that. If I get a Smart Fly or PB Professional, they have built in servo matching, so the micro match that I got wont be needed, but I can always find a use for them, they are a lot less expensive than the Match Box from JR. I have to have on servo reversed in the P-47 and uses a match box for that.
Going to bring the P-47 in and get that one ready to fly first now that I have some servos for it and hopefully get that one back in the air next month. I might not get the CARF in the air for a while yet due to the PB issue.
I also have to pull the tank on the Chipmunk, fuel should not be pouring out the muffler when I tip it forward. Then figure out why the engine ran so bad.

Hi Pete! I hear things are getting a little strss full downunder with the lock downs so I found the perfect support animal for you!
I hear they hate SA-125s too!

Another time it happened when the fuel feed line fell off the tank stopper fitting inside the tank. In that case gravity would push fuel out of the tank and through the engine sometimes, depended on what stroke the engine was on, if the throttle was opened at all and how long it was sitting with the nose down.

I understand what you are saying but they claim the vaccination isn’t any good for this new strain.
