That is the only Como PDP I have seen. Our Quickie rules back then prohibited Schneurle engines. The PDP became popular. HB made a sweet 40 with PDP but ,Dave outran them with that Como!

Jim, Well, 9 degrees in Marlette MI farm country today. The old Ford has a new old stock clutch and two new tires any how.
Looked out in the field and sure enough the ST 90 was unscathed.

Brought the bugger home, sitting here sipping on some 12 year old single malt figured I would take a pic and break the good news.

I have a St.90 and 3000. just getting to hard to feed them. Will convert the one plane that has the 3000 to a 35cc gas. The .90 currently is homeless, but will likely be replaced with a small gasser 20cc(?).

I have a couple of .60 sized planes that just can't be converted to gas, so they will stay as are but not flown that much.

I do have some smaller planes in the .20 to .46 size glow that will continue to see service on a regular basis.

Future builds will be gas.

Yes, I can understand having to run the gasoline. Won't be going that way here. It is going to be methanol or "not at all"
Actually, straight methanol/oil fuel is fairly inexpensive. The big ST on CDI spark - methanol fuel will burn less of the cheaper fuel than on glow ignition, makes a lot more power than gasoline, runs cooler than gasoline and has better transition.

Still a very tidy, low parts count system as well.

Gary, your engine has a "G" on it, and mine has a big "S" on it. what's the difference ?

Sorry but the newer ST are something I mever really did much with. This one is complete with muffler, has fine compression and smooth bearings Beyond that, you may have to ask around.

I love the Super Tigers and still use them. I have several 75s, a 40, a 3000, and a couple of 61s. I'm still happy in the glow world.

I am down to two Super Tigre's, a 2300 (Chinese) and an old 4500, the 4500 has a Bowman ring and more compression than it ever had with it's original ring. The 2300 is barely broken in.

The Saito 100 did not arrive yesterday as we had a flash snow start at 6:30 AM and by 10:30 AM we had 4.5 inches of snow and the temperature dropped below freezing. There are pine trees down across the roads everywhere, the electricity flashed off several times but never stayed off.

Hello!!,
I have a Saito FG21, new. never used. Is any user of the same engine trayed to run it with a gas pump? (like perry pump).

The FG 21 has a pump built into the carburetor.

I have 3 FG21's, none of them have needed an additional pump. The pump in the carb seems to be sufficient for fuel delivery. In the manual it states that the tank must be located as close to the engine as practical. The pump is not very strong.

I have not tried to use a Perry pump. Are you wanting to mount the tank back at CoG?

I picked up a fresh Great Planes Super Sportster a couple years ago. It had a gaspoline two stroke/cycle Fuji on it. I managed to come up with a beautiful FA-220 Saito to take the place of the Fuji. A bit bored today and after some minimal tinkering we got the Fuji running on Methanol. Making some serious power too! Going to need a bigger prop.

May be cancelling the plans for the 220 now.

My first two stroke/cycle in a long time!

The S series has the bolt on crankcase front.

The bolt on crankcase front was a hold over from the old round head Super Tigres. I have an old round head .61.

The early G series Super Tigre’s were still made in Italy. It’ll say made in Italy like on the G75 on the left. The G2300 on the right doesn’t say that & has a serial number.

I think my 40 is a China built but they were using the Italian equipment. My 75 is Italian made as is the 3000. The 40 has done well in my LT-40.

Hi All, I think I have a problem.. I have only recently become involved in the RC hobby and particularly SAITO engines.
I have loaded up a small credit card in the last couple of months and tell myself it's OK because I don't have a lot of years left! (62yrs old)
Here is the SAITO list:
FA-40 new
FA-50 used
FA-65 used
FA-120S new
FA-150 used
FA-180GK New
FA-150 used
and today, a FA-100Twin landed on the porch!
I told the wife it's dementia, but I think my butter is starting to slip off my biscuit for real!
Is there hope??
