Sorry to hear about your FIL.

Getting Hazel's SIGnature on your plane is awesome!

Yeah, unfortunately, it smeared a little, so I will spray some clear dope over it to preserve it and hope the dope doesn't smear it further. If I mist it, it should be fine.

That would smear it too, but sprayed on might do it. The pen used was water based ink. I didn't have a fine line sharpie with, just used what they had.

Yes, spray was what I meant.

That looks like an older Thunder Tiger 4 stroke. The one to the right of it would be the newer version with the black head.

The parts arrived yesterday. Thank you again Dave!
It took serious thumb pressure when I first tried to install it. Of course, I put the white o-ring spacer on too. 🤣 Fits perfectly without it and looks sharp too. Now I need it to warm up a bit to run it.

How long have you had you PSP, mine is upward of 20 years old. I have a set of bars with notches ground in them for the 125. I worried that the notches might weaken the bars, but they didn't. I make certain that the upper end fits in that relief perfectly.

PS, I received a brand new Super Tigre Silent muffler and header yesterday, 29 bucks shipped. It came from a guy called the Arkansas Peddler.

Can’t remember how long I had it but bought it used off that auction site several years ago. Way better than those wooden test stands I use to make out of scraps. I should probably look into cutting those notches in the beams or maybe just make a second pair with notches.

ST silent muffler? Are we talking about the big can?

Cool beans!

Is that the muffler that looks a lot like an old Briggs and Stratton muffler?

Very quiet

Kinda heavy but very effective. A real field saver!
Hope you get to fly that one.

Now you all can call me a Loonyticker, I had some left over Saito 82 parts, some of my own, some from one of Gary's care packages. I bought a crankcase and installed mostly 82-A parts in it, I had the B cam housing. It has a new cam, new RMJ, (Ring Master Jr.) piston ring and new Boca Bearings. The new cam is interesting, it has a bronzish look, might not mean much, I don't know.

Early rough finish rocker covers to look cool.

Of course I will install it on the Como without the gasket, those gaskets have ruined more muffler bolt threads than any other cause.

Looks good Dave. I see one of your 90deg vent connectors peeking out too.
I wonder if Saito maybe added some bronze to the powder metal mix for toughness, or mabe a titanium nitride coating.

Those built from bits engines are special!

HIding under a rock Gary. Working up loads from my 300 B/0 and 45's . Cutting trash trees down at the pond so the kiddos can make it across the ice on sleds and toboggan. Wrecked the mommobile on a whitetail so I can't get my planes down to the field. Lol
Using my FA 450 on my formerly electric Milwaukee chainsaw. Looks weird but starts just as easy with mo par. ( Just kidding)

Any suggestions?

YeeHaa Bob. Mount it on a 2x4. That beast will fly anything!
