I'm not too sure, but I would say it puts out roughly the same HP as the Saito 125. We will need to wait and see what kind of rpm we get on the 125 swinging either a 15x8 or a 16x6 prop. All my 110's feel almost as strong as my ex Saito 150.

I would really be surprised if the Saito 1.25 is in the same power league as the YS 1.10. I've been surprised before, but I don't think I will be this time.

With that said, I'm on the order list for a new Saito 1.25. I don't care to own engines that require silicone regulator doohickeys. Not because they do not run well, because they most certainly do, but I like to think that I'll still be able to run my engine a decade or so down the pike.

Were I in the need for the ultimate in performance, I would have no choice but to run YS. But I just sport fly these days.

While there is no substitute for cubic inches (well - erm - maybe a supercharger), I don't think that the 1.25 has enough extra cubes to compete with the YS 1.10 toe to toe.

I hope that I am wrong. <G>

I have a Saito 125 and I'm having problem finding a aerobatic plane for it. Can anyone help me here?

It's a good fit for the Aeroworks ProX 260, large size, if you want something extremely aerobatic! I have that combo but haven't assembled it yet.

Ha, you guys sucked me in, this thread is 7 years old!

I don't think that the YS has a true "supercharger". I believe that it uses the crankcase pressure like a 2 stroke to help pull/push a double shot of A/F mixture into the combustion chamber.

The trade off is likely that the YS must use a lower static CR to prevent detonatrion in the combustion chamber. I wouldn't doubt that the N/A FA125 running a higer CR would compete very well W/the pseudo-supercharged YS.

The current YS lineup:

Instead of the 110, I would opt for the 115.

Between the 63 and 110 is the new FZ70S.

The YS would still smoke the rest. The YS 4c's are running about 7-8 lb's of boost from what I was told in the past, since that is also the amount of pressure in the tank.
