Default motor choice

I'm in the process of building a GP ultimate bipe. I own two different motors. I have a Saito 72 mounted on an aircraft but never been flown. I also have a Rossi 40 purchased back in the 1987 time frame, Its almost NIB. I started it last year. I want to know how these motors would preform on this aircraft. If I use the Rossi, it would be on a tuned pipe because the stock muffler is way to loud. Would the Rossi give the bipe more top end speed but less vertical preformance? Its coming time to make a motor decision and any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks Mike

I've become a four stroke man. I would use the 72 and sell the Rossi....

But, you bought the Rossi for a reason?? It would work better on a pattern like ship or something else that was small and fast.

Enjoy,

Jim

Is it the .40 size Ultimate ? The four stroke would be best. Get one of these
and put the Rossi in it....

Yes it is the 40 size bipe. I bought a pair of Rossi 40s for a P38 project I always wanted to do. The other motor is in a GP supersportser and has a lot of time on it. Both motors probably need new bearings. I don't think I could build a twin with them now because one is way more worn than the other.

Pop the Rossi on a Modeltech Sonic 500 and then hang on!
