The littlest Saito
Ever since I got my new TNC tach I've been re-runnig some of my engines for tach numbers. I'm pleased with these new numbers. This is one of the quickest accelerating engines I have.

RE: The littlest Saito
I happened to win a Saito 30 at a Fun Fly last summer (door prize!) but I haven't run it yet. I think it will be a fun engine if I can find the right plane for it. I am leaning toward a small aerobatic bipe but I can't find an ARF or even a kit I'm happy with. Not a lot of selection in 25-size arfs or kits. Don't know whether I'm up for a build from plans but there is a nice-looking Jungmeister on the RCM plans site (this one was recommended to me by someone who built one).

Ross:
Sportsman Aviation (Hobby People) had a beautiful little WACo bipe for a 30 four stroke, but it has been discontinued. On the other hand, if you can find one it would be ideal.

Regarding Hobbsy's FA-30, he neglects to mention it runs so well because of the tender loving care someone else gave it.

RE: The littlest Saito
I should say that it is Bill's special black cylinder that makes it run so well. I ran mine at the 11,111 rpm you see for a full five minutes, I timed it and it ran very steady no wandering up and down. I don't know if Saito designed it that way but the muffler sounds like a much larger engine.
Ross. mine is headed for a Sig LT 25 kit I built with a nose gear and bolt on wing.
