Default webra, back of engine tapped for pressure?

I recently purchased a Webra 91 and in the back of the crankcase is a fitting like on a muffler for pressure. I had to block it off for the engine to not spit fuel out. Any ideas why someone might tap into the crankcase?
Thanks, Denny

The tapped hole is there so you can use a pump like the Perry regulator VP30. But I think some people run them without the pump with good results.
