This is about the best I can find.
You could use the manual for a 40LA?
Here are the parts on hand

RE: OS 40 FP Manual
Thanks for your help. I should have asked the real question first.
My concern is how to initially set up the carb to get the engine running. Then what to do to get it tuned. There are three adjustments, two spring assisted screws on the main body of the carb and the throttle.
What are their function, and which one adjusts which function.
I suppose there is a step-by-step instruction in the manual showing what to do, when to do it, and how much.
Make sense?

RE: OS 40 FP Manual
Read about it in this manual

The engine in the manual has a remote needle valve but your needle valve is most likely on the carburetor?
Open the high speed needle on the left side of the engine (facing forward) 1 1/2 turns
The adjusting screw on the right side should extend half way across the hole in the front of the carburetor.
The Adjusting screw with spring on the top of the carb should be screwed out enough so that the carburetor will close all the way.

RE: OS 40 FP Manual
Ok NK: I can send you a copy of my FP .40 manual if you give me your address. Just pulled my new FP. 40 out of my engine stock to donate with plane for a childrens hospital auction: so the manual is new. The info already in this thread should get your engine up and running. The manual is just nice to have for back up.
