RE: Saito 125 help
I think that is the thrust washer.. It goes between the case and the alluminum swirl thing that touches the prop.. I may be wrong..

RE: Saito 125 help
The Aluminum washer goes behind the rubber O ring on the head side of the intake pipe.
The Aluminum washer works like a support, resting against a slight flange on the intake pipe to apply slight pressure on the rubber O ring.

Mvallyman is right. The silver gasket goes on the manifold pipe first up against the flange that you should be able to see. Then, the o ring slides on last. Once you *gently* push the manifold into the cylinder head, you will see how it all fits. The o ring will be hidden under the silver gasket once everything is firmly in place. The most common thing that can go wrong is that you slice or nick the o ring if you aren't careful.
The screws that hold the whole carb assembly on to the backplate is what keeps the manifold pushed into the cylinder head.

There is one exception to that rule: I love love my 40a more then the rest. It shares the same good qualities as the rest in addition to being so cute!
I have one of each:

RE: Saito 125 help
OK, I have a .40a also that I bought from MOTORMAN37, it's a sweetheart and I have two of the little .30s, also sweethearts. The .30s will turn a Graupner 10x5 at 10,100 easily, Bill Robison loved my .30 so much I almost didn't get it back from him. He borrowed it to help compile his Saito notes. I miss ole Bill, he was good for very interesting conversation.
