This is Supertiger Country here.

(Well it was, until Great Planes let their inventory get so low that they arn't available in the US right now to amount to anything) It's been that way for three years.

But you can get them from justengines.unseen.org in England all day. Probably a lot of other countries except the US?

Wouldn't give up my Supertiger for anything. Best running and most reliable engine I've ever had.

I've been very happy with my supertiger .90, only a few tanks through it, and its working great.

Default super tiger 45

My flyin' buddy has a ST 45 in his Sig Kougar and it is really nice. It starts easy and it runs great. It will pull huge loops with the Kougar and he runs at half speed most of the time. It is quiet too. I heard ST is now made in China - that might be OK, but the used ones are from Italy. I just about got one off ebay yesterday - ST 45 - but I got sniped at the last minute. Should have bid a bit more!

Default SuperTigres

I've got 3 S.60's, and older G.60 a 2300 and a 3000 and I love my SuperTigres, they're great engines and I wouldn't give them up for any amount of money. I also won't buy anymore right now cause they're impossible to get parts for. I just recently got a new drive washer for the 2300 that was on back order for over a year and I got it from another modeler who just happened to have a spare, the backorder still hasn't been filled.

Super Tiger engines are great engines. I have two ST 90's that will haul any of the T/F Gold Edition 60 series War Birds all day long. However, should you have a problem making one run properly be sure to see the spray bar in the carb. is pointing down the tiger's throat. I recently had this problem with a 90.
I pulled off the carb. Visual inspection revealed the spray bar was facing the rear wall of the carb throat. One quick adjustment to set the spray bar properly, (loosen the two positioning screws
on the outside of the spray bar) and presto a great starting and running beast! Low idle is amazing too.

Try not to run a S/T too lean, espescially in a war bird or any other plane with an enclosed cowl. It won't take long to over heat the engine while running on the ground. Use proper baffles
or dummy radial engine in the cowl if needed.

I have found the S/T 90 loves "Wildcat" fuel with 10% Nitro/16% Oil content along with an OS #8 glow plug. The T/F in cowl Header/Muffler really top off the scale looks in a war bird.

A S/T 90 will swing a Master Airscrew three blade prop with no problem. I hate putting a two blade prop on a scale war bird designed to wear a three blade prop no matter if it's for flying or
for static display.

Have a great flying season and enjoy your Super Tiger!

I have the GS .40, (2) .51's, the abc .61, G-.90, 3000, and 3250. They all run great! My preference is Super Tiger in the glow world. Break them in right, and you'll have a good reliable engine. However, I don't know alot about the new Chinese version as all mine were made in Italy.
