....try it with the baffle intact at first, and see how it runs. Sometimes removing the
baffle gives a bit more power, and a bit more noise. Sometimes the baffle is beneficial
because of the pressure needed for the fuel pressure.

that sounds good ,Id rather have the silence because of so many fields being shut down due to the noisy engines and some are going electric ,but not me yet Im half and half both.

....it will run fine with the baffle inside. Unless you are trying to wring out
every last RPM, it's better to keep the baffle in. [

Bisson Pitts Muffler....Stk # BIS04046

Features

Bolt-On Pitts Muffler fits OS 40SF, 46SF,
.40FX, .46FX, .50SX and EVO 40/46 Engines.

....If I'm not mistaken, alost all OS 40 and 46 mufflers have the same bolt width.

Is the muffler in question the OS #873 ???

Thanks, I looked at the muffler and I have a choice either to open the holes on the casting of the motor, very little less than 1/64th , or open the muffler holes for get the threads in the muffler holes, and put a nut on the end of the screw threads with a lock washer.

[] Hmm.. I have an OS46fx with a Bisson Pitts muffler too. I have found that the 46FX screws are a bit too long or the muffler was not bored enough. I am thinking about purchasing two new screws and cutting them about 3MM shorter. Why would they say it fits when it doesn't I would expect a manufacture to supply some sort of spacer for this issue or shorter screws if they say it fits. I am wondering where you get some bolts for the top end of the screw too?
