Default OS FS-70 rebuild problem

I have a rather old FS-70 that I am revamping to install in a new plane (which I still have to decide on). My only problem is that I cannot get the connecting rod off the crank. On my OS-50 Hyper 2-strokes it just falls off the crank... it is supposed to do the same with the 4-strokes or is there another trick? It comes 1/2 way off but I can't get it to come any farther.

Another question... I plan on doing the overnight soak in the crockpot full of antifreeze. Do I need to remove all the bearings, including the camshaft bearings?

Thanks!

Some of these have a hole in the back of the crankcase to extract the wrist pin
