Default OS160FX and Walbro wt499T on glow

In another thread, the suggestion was made to mount Walbro carb wt499 on a ST 2300 using this Evolution adapter =

the idea was to avoid using a Cline regulator or Perry pump.

I've been planning to use a Perry Pump with an OS 160FX in a 2m pattern plane, but like the idea of just using a simple Walbro carb, on glow.

What do you think?

The FT160 adapter has to fit in this pocket and bolt into the two threaded holes

Thanks, I'm thinking about the 2-cycle OS 160FX, not the 160 flat twin.

Pattern guys have used the 160FX with a Perry pump for years. I'm wondering if the Walbro carb is a possibility and how the performance would compare to the regular set-up with a Perry, again, on glow. Has anyone tried it? Where did they get the adapter made?
