where is the best place the mount the reg? inbetween the needle and carb or between the needle and tank? my 1.60 is a pain in the ass to start once it starts it runs ok.
also does anyone have any pics of there setups with a remote needle valve?

How is your starting technique?
If it runs ok why bother with the pump? you may end up adding a problem to your setup.
tell us more about your setup and give us some info...
What I do is:
Open the carb,
put the finger over the carb,
flip the prop firmly to prime the engine properly (without glow plug battery)...
flip again several times without choking
put the throttle at idle, put the glow battery
backflip with the spinner or flip the prop backwards and the engine usually runs.

It looks secure enough
If you get some mixture variation problems, replumb it to be before the needle valve.

Having the Cline between the Needle Valve and the carb leads to there being little rich surges of fuel allowed in the engine as the needle & seat valve in the Cline opens, the fuel in the line from the needle valve to the Cline can rush into the engine. As the engine begins to run this settles down and is not so noticable.

Mount the regulator almost against the needle valve.
Works better to be between the needle valve and the tank.
