OS 50SX Which Prop?
Need help deciding what prop to use on my new Extra 300l with OS50SX. i usually fly warbirds ie large diameter, fine pitch props. I understand some people use extremely fine pitches for increased vertical performance but would this sacrifice speed required for pattern type aerobatics?
What would be the best allround prop size/pitch to start with in your oppinion?
Any advice vastly appreciated

Orion,
Since this OS in inclined toward higher RPM, and 11.5x6 APC or Bolly, or an 11x6, 11x7 APC, should do a good job.
The 12x6 APC is good for muffler equipped .60 engines and will overload this engine to below 12K.

OS 50SX Which Prop?
I use the 12X6. Good prop for this engine. Tached mine at 10500 rpm which makes it quieter than with a smaller prop.
Good pulling power en my .40 size majestic.

OS 50SX Which Prop?
I have a DP 40 size ultimate with this engine. I am using an APC 11X6 and the plane flies real fast and also has plenty of pulling power. It will hover the DP Ultimate at just over half throttle and pull out with ease.
I have not used a tach yet but it is really turning a lot of rpm's with this 11X6 prop and is also a bit noisy.
I am using a Slimline pitts muffler and the plane weighs 5 pound even.
