Fox .74 Eagle Initial Prop

I have a Fox .74 Eagle with the new style carb that I will be mounting in the just released GP Escapade .61. I broke the engine in on the test stand with an APC 12x7 prop. When I install the engine in the plane what prop should I start with, the APC 12x7 or an APC 13x6? Or another size prop? After initial flights, I will be testing different props but wonder where to start since this is my first Fox .74.

BTW, the Fox seems to be a very strong engine and the new style prop is working great-at least on the test stand:D.

The 12x7 prop looks to be a pretty good choice for the Escapade. I would go with it for a while and see how you like it. You can always try out different props later after you get some time on the engine and are more used to the airplane too.

I use an 11 x 10 on my Fox 74. It is my favorite. It runs great with a 12 x 8 or an 13 x 6 as well.

Thanks guys. I am going to start with the 12x7 and after getting it trimed, try the 13x6.
