Yeah...I guess now that you mention it, it doesn't have the most pleasant aroma...
Kinda like me after eatin' a big batch 'o Chili and poundin' down a few beers...[:'(]:D Turqui...in response to your PM...(having a problem replying to it? ) Maybe you can get the Liquid in the can (not the spray ) and pour it over the engine to let it soak. I save all sorts of re-sealable containers...like Cool Whip, or coffee cans, etc. You could put the engine and/or parts in the container...pour the L.W. over, then snap the lid on and forget about it for a day or two. |

Hi there. I put some liquid wrench, applied some heat and nothing, si I started watching the videos on YouTube on how to disassemble and assemble back the engine and I'm working on it; now; I have a small issue, I was removing the screws on the valve compartment and one of them the head is not good, I don't know if the Allen wrench damaged the screw or what? Anyway, suggestions? With out removing that screw, I can not remove the cylinder head. Regards.

I will tomorrow, but basically what is happening is that the Allen wrench will not attach in the hole to loosen the screw, it slips, so the head screw got striped inside, and is the screw with more difficulties to get too. Thanks.

At times you can use a SAE allen that may be just a little larger and get it to loosen, if that won't work the next step would be to drill it out untill the head just falls off, then you can use vice grips and remove the old screw, after you remove the head.
You will need a good drill bit just small enough to fit inside of the hex inside the allen screw. There tough but can be drilled out enough to pop off the head. This one does not sound like it is in the open where a person can use the dremel to make a slot in it for a plain screw driver, thats another solution to use sometimes. |

Sometimes filing the end of the allen wrench to a flat surface to make the edges square helps alot. But this needs to be done before the socket gets rounded out. See if anything is in the socket and clean it out real good.
