Dave:

If the engine will idle reliably when the plane is level, and at high speed doesn't sag with the nose held up, I'd say it just needs more break in time.

But if it tends to go lean nose up no matter how rich you set the high speed needle I'd say that while it still may not be fully run in, the tank is too far from the engine. This will also make it go rich when nose down.

Bill.

Dave:

The tank could also be improperly positioned vertically.

PS: And welcome to RCU. Please enjoy and make use of it. wr.

thx for quick reply, the engine is run in its been in a few modle of mine, so no probsthere, yer at level it ticks over nicley ive adjusted the slow runnin jet so when nose in air dont cut out or increse rpm, but when nose down cuts out, could it be where the fuel is at front of tank and clunk not bending over for it or summin
??? mabe when the plane is flyin wont cut out as movin or summin

RE: OS 40LA problems????

Unless you have a tank liner that holds the fuel inside the tank and it only expands to fit the fuel, no air, then it will keep running b/c it won't be sucking in any air.
