I need a Regulator, suggestions please

Guys, I need a Fuel Regulator for a Magnum 180 4St, the engine run's and start's great and is powerful, but when the fuel tank is full I can not get it to idle low, but when the fuel is low in the tank it will idle down very low> putt,, putt, putt

the Cline and Iron Bay units are not available now,

so I was wondering if I could use a regulator off a large Saito or OS,,, any suggestions ??

I don't mind a higher idle but it would be nice to have the plane set still before I start to taxi off

thanks guys !!

A fluid situation that should end up well.

thank you for the link, but I can not buy the Cline Regulator inside America, and I rather not order it all the way from Australia

I still need suggestions

thank you

Well you're not serious about fixing the problem then.

The other option would be to cut a Walbro carburetor apart and just use the regulator. Personally, if I needed a regulator, I'd just order the Cline. I believe it even uses Walbro parts inside.

yes the Cline does use Walbro parts (spring, seesaw and pin, float valve) and diaphragm and back plate,

I did cut a Walbro up, then cleaned it up on my lathe in the 4 Jaw Head stock, it was hard to keep in the jaws (off set) because one part on the Carb's body was only about 1MM thick, so that 1 jaw kept pushing the Carb out, plus I had to put wood behind the Carb's body to hold the body out and straight in the jaws,, in the end the cut came out really good, but the cut also opened a fuel port that would need to be welded close, so I just gave up on it, maybe if I get a newer carb I will try again, but then again I could just make a new manifold and put a Walbro on my engine

It's a real bugger when you get flummoxed and can't make your mind up about what to get.Got stuck the same way one morning out shopping at the local supermarket, spent ten minutes staring at the different brands of dishwashing liquid on the same shelf

oh those labels are made to hypnotize people

If you're going to pressure-tap the engine anyway, you could use a Perry pump/regulator.
