Yes, the mufflers are the same. Parts have not been available for years.

Thanks for the info regarding the 32/25 mufflers.

How do you like yours? I just picked one up at a swap meet. It looks new. I like orphans, and challenges, and never had a GMS. Heard GMS is good/bad...

Depends on the size. Some GMS engines ran fine as-is, others needed work. I have a .47 that just screams on top, but the idle needle is too long and has an improper taper, so getting a good idle and transition isn't possible as-is. I had to drill out the carb body where the needle holder attaches because the holes were misaligned.

It is a .25. I'll play with it after I look inside it first. The bearing have a roughness that needs checking out, I am pretty sure it is new though. $25 at Toledo. It is warming up outside now, but there is a lot of landscaping to do for a while first.

I have a .32 with carb mounted needle valve. Runs great on the muffler and screams on a Mac's pipe set up. Idles and transitions as good as any other engine. I have two .61's that I have not run yet. Hope they run as well as the .32.

The GMS engines are hard to beat on power. The biggest caveat to them is whether the carb operation is on the money or not. I got my .47 nearly new and free. That means I'm not broken hearted if I need to make mods to it so she runs right. Top end of my .47 blows the doors off my TT Pro .46 by 500rpm on the same prop, fuel, plug, and muffler. They're equipped with a real chromed liner too (if ringless), not too shabby for a "cheap" engine.
